I don't disagree about the cash thing. I am sure there will always be a need for cash. However, I beleive that cash will be drawn from little square boxes called ATMs rather than paying 10-15 people to sit behind teller windows and drive thru windows to hand it out.

Also, I don't disagree with your assessment of EELN (being a good short). I think it is a good "trade" short because of the recent run-up...and hell, they might just go out of business. But I don't figure it is because of a flawed business model, or criminal activity....(the crims were the underwriters). I just think it is a business ahead of it's time....like so many. I have to hang on to my vision that many brick and mortar run businesses will become extinct dinosaurs in the future. I am sure many of the internet companies that are operating now will join the same fate before it all evolves, but new ones will come. For the record, I have no position in any on-line lenders, banks, etc...But I am interested in MDCM a little. Intuit paid some 300 million for Rock Financial a while back if I remember right. Rock didn't have the revenues of MDCM. I am just looking at it though right now. They appear to be in need of cash.

Speaking of brick and mortar though...you might want to take a look at ORLY as an investment. They appear rather cheap to me given their growth, and prospects for further growth this year. It's not a high-flying tech or internet company but I beleive their is some nice opportunity for capital appreciation there. Perhaps a double by year end?

Hi Anthony,

I have 2 July puts on TERN right now. Stupid move or not? Also, is AMZN looking ripe for a short in here? I am wondering whether to do anything else before the ECI report due out Thursday.

Thanks,

Jed
