I hear that there's a cat up a tree next door that won't come down; quick, send a Marine helicopter and a FEMA team, notify all the news networks, and write your local congressperson.

That Telephone offering will absorb about an average 2-3 weeks worth of new market capitalization, and it will be real money that's no longer available for investment in any other stocks. The Fed seems likely to continue raising interest rates a notch at a time. A lot of IPO stocks will soon be available for sale, and some people--having seen what's happened in other cases--will be willing to sell instantly and at any price. Eventually all this may overwhelm the steady inflow of money from pensions, tax-deferred annuities, systematic investments, and pure speculation on credit. What a mess there is going to be, especially if the dollar begins to decline and currency switches begin.
