The local school boards are doing a pretty good job of determining what literature is representative and meets the standards set for accreditation. It's always a fight worth fighting at that level. I can't imagine what would happen if at the national level they determined that my kids are required to read the "Scarlet Letter" but not "Tale of Two Cities." <<How would you address the need for literacy with a capital L?>> I don't know. What is a "capital L?"
