What is SI's policy on the timing of system upgrades?

Obviously, something has changed in the past couple of days since the Classic SI emulation option no longer works. I think that this happened on Monday.

In the telecom world (either service provider or private business) there is a policy to do all upgrades on weekends (preferrably starting on Friday nights) so that if there are any bugs introduced, there is time to either fix them or go back to the old rev without interrupting service on the high usage days.

I think that it is very important for Internet ventures to start adopting the attitude of managing their system to be reliable as do the telecoms. Think about it in the context of your telephone. Imagine if you came into work on Monday morning and you couldn't dial 9 to get an outside line because the telecom guys decided to add a "do not disturb" feature to the system. I am thinking that you, as the end user, would be pretty pissed off that you can't get an outside line.

Of course, then again, you may view Silicon Investor as a pastime for your users and that reliability of the system doesn't matter and changing the user interface doesn't matter because we are all just talking about Elian, Thread Morons, Spamming and grubbing instead of talking about stock fundamentals and charts and investing and other things that actually would affect our financial well being.
