I think this reason combined with reports Spitfire will be faster than Thunderbird in some cases are the reason Spitfire release was pushed back to June from the reported MOnday of this week. The higher MHz Celeron delay is a big benefit for AMD. Thunderbirds will be made in slot form initially so maybe Spitfire will get all the socket motherboards initially. Now would have the perfect time for AMD to do what Kash has always wanted - AMD makes its own motherboard and bundles it with the chipset and processor to lower price.
