yes, spot platinum exploded when the April contract became ripe for delivery. not enough physical metal available it seems. however the far contracts didn't react to that. it was strictly due to the spot delivery problems.

i think the author of that article has it exactly right...i don't want to sound like a conspiracy nut, but i really do believe that there's a concerted manipulation effort going on in the various metals markets. same goes for currencies and stocks to some degree, but nowhere is it more blatant than in the gold market. of course the evidence is only circumstantial, but it still is pretty strong evidence.
