Trindy, Nuclear winter has not only hit, it is still hitting. Which earnings were good? Compaq LOST money in PCs and they are the biggest player. Gateway had a sucky quarter, as did MUEI. Dell has set the bar very low. IBM reported horrible numbers. In other words, the tech businesses are selling at huge growth multiples and many are not growing. So, nuclear winter is very much intact. BUT, so is the debt bubble that is supporting stock prices at these silly levels. One should not confuse a speculative mania with actual business results. And staying alive is not enough to support these sorts of price levels forever.
