"$600 million dollars would pay for a lot of legal fees" True, but think of MSFT as a big tobacco company, for years they were winners in court because they had the financial staying power. It's tough to fight the big guy even when you're in the right and only have $600-million to fight with. Imagine a private company with only a million invested, you know some stupid schmoe working out of his garage with a great idea, he's doomed against fighting MSFT's "grabbing" practices.
