Rande, I was informed yesterday that ADAP was removed from the list of marginable securities. If other brokerages have done the same do you think that has contributed to the fall?

Also, was informed that different stocks had different margin reqirements based on a list that they periodically change without warning, i.e. CSCO can go as low as 30% before triggering a margin call and others only 85%.

Do other on-line brokerages do this? All DLJ posts is the stocks that they will not margin at all. Why won't they publish a complete list with margin requirements.

I don't understand why ADAP a $24 stock is being removed. Are they trying to force it lower? All this seems pretty underhanded given the current markey conditions.

I am interested in a new on-line broker. Any reccommendations?
