I always looked at Intel's investments as strategic to Intel's future as they try to facilitate the creation of supporting technology for their products. Appreciation of those assets were secondary. As for Dell, I had thought they had ulterior motives for their investments also, such as securing sales. This makes their strategy different than other VC firms. Still, by placing T. Meredith over the investment effort, Dell is putting major attention on these investments.

the past gdp and wage inflation data are already built into the model. expectations are, frankly, that Greenspans tinkering has already affected the economy in many different areas.
