By contrast, Intel's meeting, which will begin at 8 a.m. PT and be broadcast over the Web, will concentrate more on the Internet than on PCs.

I understand that Intel's meeting is to be in a parking lot near the St. Regis, and at some point during the day, they plan to rally at the hotel in an effort to point out to the world that AMD sucks.

Both of these companies planned to hold their meetings on the same day (tomorrow) - is it just a coincidence (holding the meetings on the same day) or they just don't like one to have any unchallenged advantage over the other?

It is kind of hard to believe that it's coincidence, isn't it?

I was thinking of hopping on the metroliner and going up for the meeting (from DC), but I've got an obligation at 10:30, so I don't think I'll be able to make it.

It's too bad, I would have like to see Jerry et al.

Goutama, the Intel annual meeting is not tomorrow but May 17. The Intel meeting is for securities analysts.
