RE: MSFT was and IS deemed a monopoly Deemed a monopoly, of course. But we all know that being a monopoly, in and of itself, is not a crime. As well, I would argue that MSFT is not a monopoly. No more than Apple or AOL. And of course, neither Sun, or AOL are on trial yet. But you mark my word if MSFT gets bled, the trial lawyers will be foaming at the mouth to find the next big anti-trust settlement, and so they will. A judge has decided that MSFT broke laws. His decision will face a considerable amount of scrutiny, and is far from final. A good deal of the DOJ case is, IMHO, groundless. I am confident that the appeals process will come to the same finding. BTW: Please tell me, ToySoldier, which OS and applications suites will you have us mindless prolitariat masses on once MSFT is squashed. Admit it, what you really want is to see MSFT squashed. Irregardless of the negative impact on the business and consumer market, or the entire US tech sector.

This process will last for a couple of years if the case is not dismissed before that. For the next year or two, we will be able to remind you that this issue has not been resolved. Until then MSFT will continue to create the greatest software in the world. I use all of their Windows and Office products at work. Our entire company does. Under no circumstances would we consider choosing other products. Dave
