they are out of favor as reflected in the price, but perhaps the reason the prices have pulled back is due to interest rate uncertainties? it is a great return, but should rates increase, you may find principal erosion greater then dividend payout. most you name are less then liquid, which could cause erratic price movement.

as far as elon....or anything else some of the rabid folks who believe everything without earnings has great value, i concur with you that reits at this level are a more conservative play.

my comment was not to negate your position, but to temper it as many on these boards will enter anything they read about without full knowledge....this is evident in comments of many touting no earnings companies as excellent buys...loved elon at 90, gotta have more at 30!!!!!...(not for me!....)
