<< Aside from the fact that you can offer no credible evidence of this filial estrangement other than some George Will clone reactionary columnist's opinion about the concentration camp atmosphere of life in Cuba ... >>

Actions speak louder than words. Tens of thousands of Cuban men, women and children are willing to risk their lives to flee Cuba. It's estimated that over 10,000 have died fleeing Castro's ruthless government. It's got to be awful in Cuba for ordinary people to risk their lives, and their children's lives, to flee.

<< I can assure you that there is ample evidence to keep him from those narcissistic loonies in Little Havana. >>

Loving and caring "loonies" in Little Havana were there for Elian, and nursed him back to health. His father deserted Elian for four months. You criticize those that do good works, and praise a father who turned his back on his son, when his son needed him the most.

Johnny-come-lately Juan finally put his beers down and came to America, and Castro had to force him to come!!

Who would come closer as a father figure to you, Juan or Castro?
