Wars of attrition such as this make excellent business sense if you are sure you can last longer than the other guy and there is no third party who will swoop in and scoop up market share with a different solution altogether.

Absolutely. And Intel can last much, much longer than AMD.

watch for increased Intel/Rambus advertising....with Rambus portrayed to the "solution" to high speed computing bottlenecks. AMD does not yet have a corresponding one-word buzz solution to offer.

How about "1.2GHz" for a nice sounding buzz word?
