I concur.

JUst thought as long as "value" is important, so is that yield. Can buy a whole lotta bean dip.

I havent traded or bought a retailer in a l-o-n-g time.

IS, the one nice thing about JCP is management has done such a poor job of running the joint that perhaps anything a reasonable person might do could improve things.....in addition they cater to value minded customers and will be less prone to a slowdown in consumer spending.
It's cheep alright, unfortunatly there's a reason for it, however the following might be a sign of things to come, a interesting twist

edit-Uh Oh, debit for JCP s*cks, debit to equity at 1.4 with 26 bucks of book and these guys can't make a profit in the strongest economy in 30 years. Someone should be drawn, quartered and burned at the stake....unfortunatly it could be the shareholders.....sheesh
