I think many shareholders had their minds made up to sell on the news with the job & GNP reports coming out tomorrow, and then things snowballed. Most of today's traders don't have a clue as to interpreting earnings numbers and will rely on what they see others do. They saw some selling, so they sold to.

......Shorts had a great day but they'll be looking to cover now and get this price moving in the other direction. Price may go lower but stock is a buy to any reasonable trader. JMO.

BTW, another steal is VRTY.

Stephen, I don't know what is "warranted" or "not warranted' from the stock market anymore. What I do know is that we are living in the instant gratification financial new age, and FFIV did not please.

I listened to the conference call twice. I think the company is on track to succeed. Expenses went up 47% due to an increase in marketing and advertising expenses and the hiring of 20 more engineers. I find nothing unusual about that for a young company that wants to continue to grow rapidly.

I think FFIV is a big winner down the road but its shareholders need patience. What I've seen over the past 6 months in regard to the stock price is high tech casino gambling and over leveragedness that got crushed with margin calls.

I think today's price is a bargain. I can only hope that FFIV will attract future shareholders who understand the great fundamentals of its company.
