The article incorrectly points out that MSFT is down in afterhours trading. << Microsoft's stock was down 1 3/8 at 68 in after-hours trading on Wednesday. >> This is actually incorrect. The stock closed at 68 and seems to be up slightly in afterhours trading. Last reported bid on island is 68 1/8. It looks like a breakup proposal might be already factored into the stock price (not the breakup itself, but the breakup proposal). This article that seems to solidly confirm that a breakup proposal will be submitted Friday, hasn't hurt the stock. It was published after the close of the market, but the stock is higher. Dave
