These were people defying the Federal Government with respect to turning over a six year old boy to his father. There is no violation of American principles involved. Unless you subscribe to a view of America that says that a son may be kept from a father and a father from a son. In which case, let's do away with that kind of compassionless way of life.

Yes, their cold-blooded support for the brutal way in which Elian was taken out of that little house, along with the unnecessary beating of a cameraman and the breaking of Elian's bed for example, is extremely frightening, and should give everyone pause for concern.
Only people who think like cold-blooded dictators are not bothered by this sad event. They must have ice water flowing through their veins..... Yogi
