Lee -- Excellent article! A few weeks ago I analyzed Terayon's quarterly report and found many of the tactics mentioned used there. They took the meaning of "pro forma" to new levels of creativity. My only thought in questioning comparisons between JDSU and SDLI was the amount of revenue generated from acquisitions. For y/y numbers, the excessive gains can skew the comparisons. I suspect the best approach is to study the 10-Qs and Ks and come to one's own conclusion. Now, if we could just get analysts to do the same. <g> Pat
