Obviously MR BUG you don't understand QCOM's DOMINATE position. The critics and naysayers have always been about misrepresenting QCOM's position and spreading FUD.

As far as Nokia. It is holding up because of upcoming earnings. If they disappoint or give any indications of a slow down or competition watch out below. Let see what they have to say about their CDMA handset efforts tomorrow. Street is not going to like it.

In 6 months or less that chart you point to will be much different. QCOM will be over 200 within six months.

Bug,

<< does qcom make any money on w-cdma or just cdma2000? >>

BOTH!

<< it seems the markets have decided that w-cdma is REAL competition to cdma2000 and qcom may lose the battle and all those billions in profits longer term >>

The markets are not well informed. No. Let me correct that. Some investors in wireless technology are not well informed.

<< w-cdma is REAL competition to cdma2000 >>

w-cdma UMTS/UTRA) & cdma2000 (IS-2000) are simply 2 modes of operation for 3G wireless mobile telephony. Qualcomm has essential and fundamental IP in ALL modes of operation for 3G.

<< qcom is getting killed and nok is hanging tough >>

My charts show QCOM up 1402% and Nokia up 246% since 1/3/99.

<< is there any legal hassle w/ w-cdma or is qcom sol? >>>

Could be. Do some DD on your own. Check out Qualcomm IP on CDMA.
