tc,

I don't understand why some people have no problems with 5.0 and others do but I guess AOL just doesn't like some of us.

It might have something to do with me attempting to set up a network and using a cable router/gateway as a firewall, but it doesn't seem to affect anything else.

My main reason for hating AOL are the timers. I don't care to log off to assemble a long reply to a post. Sometimes I need to access previous posts or other sources while assembling it. AOL keeps sending those annoying messages. I get so mad I want to delete it entirely.

I have @home now also, so it's not as hard to deal with, but it still annoys me.

I can see them sending messages to people on a dial-up because they are tying up a phone line, but not to people that are accessing via TCP/IP, or LAN.

Anyway, I am glad to know I am not the only person experiencing problems with AOL 5.0.

Have fun,
Phil
