i'll admit up front that i'm nearly clueless when it comes to currency markets...

Hi Keep It Simple! Welcome to the porch. We on the porch are here to help one another.....You are gonna meet some of the nicest folks on th internet. A lot of Southerners on this thread.....

Now about currency issue!

Southerners who saved their Confederate money were holding a currency that was appreciating against a sound U.S. dollar at an average annual rate of nearly 15 percent, doubling in value every five years. U.S. citizens who put their money into Confederate dollars in 1965 saw those dollars rise in value over the next fourteen years at an average annual rate of 7.4 percent, comfortably outpacing the rise in the cost of living.

This solid performance is bound to lead to an even greater flight from the U.S. dollar to the Confederate. As the yankee dollar is eaten away by inflation, Confederate money should begin to attract not just currency speculators but ordinary Americans looking for a sounder currency in which to hold their savings. And they couldn't do better. Since 1965 the Confederate dollar has outperformed even such blue chips as the German mark, the Swiss franc, and the Japanese yen.

What accounts for "the Confederate miracle"? How can currency backed by a goverment defunct for over a century be sounder than one backed by the government in Washington? Confederate officials aren't saying, but they seem to have learned a lesson form the severe inflation of the 1862-1865. Strict controls on the growth of the Confederate money supply are coupled with a fiscal policy that produces a balanced budget every year. (August 1979)

Just a little porch help! Now you know a whole lot more about the currency market!

love ya,

dealer

Hey KISS,

Thought we got rid of your ugly mug awhile back. See you crawled back out from under your rock with Steve 666.

Where is the useful information you wish to disseminate? (Look it up in the dictionary) If all you want to do is criticize and antagonize please stay the hell over on the clowns thread where you belong.

The only response you will get here is the same thing we give to your buddy 666, PITY. See we mindless sheep don't know any better because of the severe mind control exerted over us by Master Voltaire. He has taken me off mind control long enough to answer for him.

But please while he isn't looking and thinks I am finishing, please help us. All of us are controlled by him, we need HELP!! Clappy, Coonaz, she-x, Dealer, Polvie and the rest are all under control. Please get word to SI Bob and maybe he can get Reno to free us also.

Thanks, We're counting on you, Gotta Go Voltaire is coming bac, umphh, gjbjglbhzmgn

Hi Kiss,

I've read your last 5 posts...from my studies of insecure people and simple minds, I find that they tend to like to be destructive to others, rather than try to offer constructive input...perhaps you could show us you have some independent thoughts which we could BENEFIT from. We don't have to agree, and that makes the porch better...

BUT DON'T GET PERSONAL!

It's insulting, and something you would not do if we were face to face...

Your input is welcome here, but if you are just going to show up and be destructive, please don't bother,

Have a good one,

C-
