Stan,

As posted in my #4064, their fellow short basher PLUVIA has admitted to using one account for several individuals. Apparently, this enables a professional operation to be "manned" continuously so that full-time bashing can take place.

Coming on and educating as a "service" to poor unsuspecting longs is key as Scott has pointed out in the Anatomy of a Basher article. This has been well-documented.

In my opinion, there has been a manipulative scheme to selectively leak stories to get followers of the so-called gurus to come in and create volume for the original shorts to get out at a profit. One of the golden gurus admitted that in a post that was strangely deleted subsequently. Fortunately, all those posts are available and subject to subpoena.

Manipulative tactics and violations of SEC acts and regulations thereunder will bring many of these characters under scrutiny one way or another. The fact that one person in the scheme has no position will not insulate that person in my opinion. The fact that one person does not know ahead of time of the scheme but should reasonably be aware of its existence and acts on it would similarly cause that person to be subject to claims of unfair and manipulative practices under the Act.

As that article about Pluvia points out, many of these individuals (or associates) have criminal or other unsavory histories. It amazes me that they would put themselves in the public eye when they are often subject to scrutiny for existing issues. Often times involvement with the judicial system or administrative regulators involves "promises" to be remorseful or contrite. Some of these inviduals are so full of themselves that they forget that their threats, boasts and other manipulative actions may come back to haunt them when they least expect it.

What goes around comes around.
