I don't think anyone would care even if they put in negative returns on the year. People will just keep filling the jug with 401K/IRA contributions. It would have to take a very protracted bear market to change the current market sentiment.

I do believe the markets got hyper but I don't think a protracted bear will come. I am looking for a return to mean with DJIA at 8K, Naz 2.8K.

They said the A/D can only go down for so long before something has to give.

Mike, Isn't it possible that the A/D line is simply reflecting an economy undergoing change, with new industries emerging and older ones in decline?
