FWIW, Echelon made their numbers (.02), and gave guidance for record revenues in the next quarter and profitability this year. They are not usually given to hyperbole.

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 2000--Echelon Corporation (Nasdaq:ELON - news) today announced financial results in line with expectations for the quarter ended March 31, 2000.

Up 30% from Prior Year -- $11.4 Million vs. $8.8 Million (.02) vs. (.05)

Disclosure: This is, in no way, a recommendation to purchase this stock. I first purchased Echelon in February, 1999, and have since added to my position. Echelon, as I have said on numerous occasions, is not a gorilla. But, I believe it can be. The next few quarters are critical as they ramp up sales of their iLon server and possibly Internet appliances for the home.
