RE: My Guess

April Showers Bring May Flowers

or

April is the Cruelest Month

I pick LDP - closed at 12 7/16 on April 26, 2000

also:

I think we should have a side pool - say $50/pick - money sent to Clappy - he gets a 10% rake for his efforts - winner take all.

Besides, this'll prove we are not addicted to the stock market, right? We have divergent interests - like pool, yeah - that's the ticket. Or VPTC (that's Voltaire's Porch Travel Club) with excursions to Atlanta & Habana already in the offing. Or holistic endeavors, like getting in touch with one's angels (though I am still trying to figure out yesterday's message when I locked myself out of my house and had to pick weeds for 45 minutes till someone with a key showed up. I kept waiting for the place to blow up, but nope, nothin' that clear happened).

I think I'm digressing

clappy, do IPO's count?

just thinking "out of the box" here. probably not, huh?
ok, well i'm down to a list
of 34 stocks to pick from for a double:

SEBL...113.625 CPQ...29.25 CMGI...58
QCOM...97.25 INTU...37.125 LPTHA...22.0625
JDSU...92 RMTR...9 7/8 ELON...30.25
RNWK...36.50 AKAM...73.50 NN...34.0625
FFIV...44.125 FDRY...80 XLA...74.
RBAK...66.50 SCMR...60.875 SCON...21.125
INSY...3.125 EMLX...46.50 SVNX...46.75
ARBA...68.5625 EXDS...75.3125 AKAM...73.50
NOK...51.875 ORCL...72.1875 CSCO...66.75
CNXT...56.50 NTAP...61.125 NAVI...39.1875
COVD...26.875 NOVL...19.8125 EGRP...20.
BVSN...32.375 ANCC...17.125

i know SEBL's already doubled since 04-17-00
but i think it could still double going forward
the rest of the year. i'm leaning towards one of these:
RNWK, NAVI, ANCC, NOK, RBAK, FFIV, LPTHA, SCON and CMGI.
i guess if i have to choose one i would pick RNWK.
damn, that was hard. she

Clappy, I changed my mind. Regarding your survey, it's not going to be LPTHA to double first, it's going to be GSTRF. It closed yesterday at $9.5312. That's what I think.
Rose.
