exactly. it is actually VERY simple: IF the increase in computing power is really enhancing productivity as much as the new era bubble heads claim, then why not measure it in real economic output, i.e. REAL instead of "chained" dollars? why invent data that artificially inflate or deflate what's happening in the real world?
it's a big sham, is all.
