Did you consider the fact that he is an insider in the company stock he wants transferred and therefore cannot sell and cash out of E*Trade? Since he owns a $19 million stake in the small company, imagine the hit it would take when he cashes out his position just to transfer the stock. For a master of SEC, FDIC, and SIPC rules, you sure didn't cover all the possibilities.

His theory that E*Trade loaned out his stock to short is very plausible. Further, it explains why E*Trade is dragging its feet in the transfer. Suppose E*Trade having to cover that short all at once...

Like E*Trade need to lose any more money through improper management.
