Is anyone aware of anyone else who has an order-entry API?

I am not aware of any. But I am sure that the average person
on this thread does not even know what it is you are talking
about when you say API (in almost every sentence) and does not want to ask.

Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) simply enable a
software developer (Jon) to create custom applications that
integrate with a particular software.
Maybe this will ring a bell with someone.

I still do not know what FIX is....

It appears that CyberCorp may have an API, but may only release it to people that do a certain volume of trades.

Qcharts has the ability to send orders to both Cyber and Preferred. There definitely *is* an API, and I'll bet its pretty simple too.

You might try writing to Matt Gundersen- matt@tenlights.com He is working on a great new program called RavenQuote which does all the things qcharts does and more. I dont believe he has done a trading interface yet, but he may know something about it.

Better yet- maybe you could write the interface for him and put it into RavenQuote. His architecture allows plug-ins and he has tentative plans to sell plug-ins for an extra charge.

I'm not that thrilled with what qcharts does- it could be so much better. I'd gladly pay for a professional order entry interface.
