re: The gaps are filled

Excellent point. Why do bears get all excited with the gap down? Why do bulls get excited when the gap is filled and call the day green when we don't slide after a monster gap?

Silly IMO. The battle is just now starting.

As an aside, many bullish/bearish candle formations begin with a move the other way. I like gap-ups in down markets because it is the only way to get "bearish engulfing" and "dark-cloud cover". -g-

it's bullish, period. obviously there's enough liquidity. don't forget Al printed 80% more money in the past two days alone than the AWE IPO eats up.
also, the lead underwriter of AWE is GS, who's also the chief spoo manipulator and gold market manipulator. we discussed those goons in detail yesterday.
however, we'll have to see what the CLOSE brings. it's the close that counts, everything else is just noise.
if we get a positive close on the worst wage inflation data in over 10 years, the clowns have won.
there are a few more potential pitfalls next week, especially the productivity lies on Thursday, but that's small potatoes compared to ECI.
