PHCM: BTE?

To what extent should we await the outcome of the patent litigation v. Geoworks before investing in PHCM?

Hi, Gary. I'm not willing to say that PHCM "dominates its market" yet. Look at shuebert's post today. We're looking at Infospace as gorilla-competitor. It looks to me that they are principally in adjacent areas--Infospace may be leading the content side, while PHCM is leading in server installations that talk to the browsers. (There's also a server that moves the content, if I understand the structure correctly). PHCM, with last year's MyPhone has moved to gain a position in the content side. Infospace has--I think--introduced a server to talk directly with the browsers.

It's fluid. I'm away from my desk today, so more investigation will have to wait for tomorrow. At this point, I'd put PHCM as a solid candidate with excellent management that is entering a tornado.

Best,
John
