Wireless Industry Trade Magazine: Nokia WCDMA efforts poor

Key Points:

* German firms Siemens and Bosch targeting Nokia

* Nokia is having more problems than Motorola, due to it's lack of semiconductor design experience

* Nokia may have burned bridges by stubbornly refusing to turn to Qualcomm

* NOK is loosing Sprint and Verizon confidence, Nokia has had a tough time delivering handsets

* Nokia has sponsored CDMA research projects dating back to the late 1980s, but it still apparently isn't satisfying

*Hardly a quarterly conference call goes by without at least one analyst inquiring about its CDMA chip set plans and whether it will buy from Qualcomm
