I live in the NYC area. I used to like Mayor Guliani too. The city needed someone to get things done and clean things up. NYC is much improved over the last decade. How much credit Mayor Guliani deserves is debatable, but he does deserve a lot of credit for it. However, Mayor Guliani has been his own worst enemy for more than a year now. I really lost a lot of respect for him when he failed to offer condolencs and brought out a sealed juvinille record when Mr. Dorismond was tragicly shot by NYC police. He really seemed like an insensitive jerk the way he addressed that tragedy. The storm trooper comments were also distressing. He would never say anything like that about the NYC police. He was playing politics when he made those comments and it really made him look bad.
