OK Bill, I'll give it one try; and remember, this is only my opinion ~ while I believe it to be true, I can't support it with footnotes and cite references. I think others may have the time, but I don't.

Some Spanish speaking cultures are considerably concerned with Machismo.

The Cuban culture seems to be an example. A man's masculinity, self-image, reputation, etc. is tied to his sexual attributes. Successful males are thought to be mucho macho.

Male children receive this attitude through cultural osmosis. The whole family is concerned that male children be perceived as strong, macho, well endowed specimen.

We, as Americans, usually do not subscribe to this way of thinking although there are some sub-cultures in the southwest that do.

I don't know that they are right ~ I don't know that they are wrong. I just know that I accept that they are different. Each cultural group seems to interpret judeo-christian scriptures in their own way. These interpretations lead to cultural differences.ALL of them think theirs is the only correct interpretation.

None really know ~ they only believe
