"ARLINGTON, Va., Apr 27, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTNA;
RTNB) has selected Sun Microsystems Inc. to participate in the engineering
effort to design, build and support the total ship computing architecture (TSCA)
for the U.S. Navy's 21st Century Land Attack Destroyer -- the DD-21. The
long-term, exclusive agreement between the two companies includes provisions to
assure selection of the best value commercial hardware and software to meet
performance and cost requirements."

The more I see SUNW involved in all these projects the more ANCR switches will eventually be sold. Great move ANCR!!!

Looks like an updated Catalog including Sun's complete Storage offering. It includes Ancor's complete SANBox line of switches, and only Brocade's Silkworm 2100 Loop Switch.

I was surprised to see the 64/128 Director. Even though Sun's OEM agreement was for the 8/16 switches, it's nice to see the Director in their offering. There must be some kind of joint sales\support program in place. Where's the announcement?

We might see something similar occuring for the Director with EMC, though Ancor/EMC would be constrained against competing with Inrange in MVS? An intricate problem\opportunity. Would be nice to see the Directors beginning to kick up the GM.

Nothing like a fair wind and a following sea.
