Bill HooFatt,

Do you know how wrong you are?

<< Or worse yet, another monopoly tactic Microsoft uses is to announce vaporware. They don't even have to produce the product. The press recommends people hold off on buying the smaller competitor until MSFT releases their own version for free. The competitor goes out of business and MSFT approaches their developers to buy out the sourcecode. Make a few GUI changes and slap on the MSFT logo and you've got the Microsoft version released after their competitor goes under. That is abuse of monopoly power! The only solution is to break up them up so they do not have the clout to influence retailers and publishers so. >>

This whole statement is a joke. There are hundreds of companies that can do exactly the same thing. Don't you think that INTC, ORCL, AOL, CSCO or any other leader in their industry could do what you fear MSFT will do? Obviously any of them can.

So, where do you stop? Do you 'break up' every big company?

If you think so, you've got real problems.

Dave
