Harvey--Here is the important part for stock buying or selling:

Q. Would a breakup benefit shareholders?

A. Some analysts have suggested as much. But David
Readerman, an analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners in San
Francisco, said in a report last fall that the pieces of a split-up
company would have 31 percent less value than an intact
Microsoft.

To the Microsoft Software users:

We are not in anyway connected to Microsoft.
We are only users of their software products.
We propose the idea, which many before us have articulated;

We fear the potential ramifications of the government controlling the content of software.
We view the possible break-up of Microsoft as potentially harmful to our enterprises.
We feel that their products have answered our software needs with timely, cost competitive solutions.

We would like you to take a minute to reflect, and ask yourself a couple of questions;

1.Would your ability to be productive, be better today if Microsoft had not been as successful?
2.Do you think Microsoft would have been as successful if they had not offered products you wanted?
3.What message does it send, to see any enterprise broken because it is successful?
4.Do you feel it to be inappropriate for the government to dictate the content of software solutions and
operation systems?

If you agree, please Add your name to our petition;

We the undersigned agree, government should re-think the Judge's position and take what ever steps Necessary,
including amending law, to insure that Microsoft will not be hindered in their pursuit to be inventive and
innovative.

Your name will be added to a list by state. The data will be offered at various levels of government, in the effort
to start a ground swell amongst the base of our elected officials.
