How about Tenchuron, Pauron, or Elmeron?

Yeah, but "Duron" would have been a very cool name if it didn't sound like a popular brand of paint.

Ten,

Knowing Sanders Hollywood aspirations, I am surprised he didn't name Spitfire...Duran, Duran.

I actually like Duron...most of the names they give chips like Willamette I like. The only one I don't like is Itanium...and I am not sure why.

Stenchon, <like a popular brand of paint.>
Popular? Who do you think you are kidding?
Most people never heard of it,
especially homeless youngsters like yourself,
little twit. Be honest, you've heard this brand
first time this morning. I think your Intel
options will never appreciate.

I did not know there was a brand of paint named Duron.

I like Duron a lot. Glad that it is not Aeleron (Spl ?).

I wonder if the Spitfire, like Duron paint, has "Stretchability"

Duron's
Siding in a Can©
has "Stretchability"

Tench - RE: "Oh well. If AMD really wanted to push the "me too" mentality of brand names, they would have named Spitfire after a vegetable, just like crunchy Celery-stick Celeron. How about "Carroton"? Or "Tomatoron"? "Broccolon"?"

Hopefully AMD's choice of name doesn't backfire like Intel's choice with the original Celery. The root in Duron is supposed to mean reliable. The root in Celeron is supposed to mean fast or quick.

Also, Duron won't have to worry about being fast enough. Celery, in comparison, will AGAIN. ;)
