Global TeleMedia International Subsidiary BentleyTel.com on June 1st Took Over The First Stage of a 5 Year Contract to Provide Government Internet Capability As Part of a $110 Million Dollar Partnership With COMPAQ, CABLE & WIRELESS, NEC and OPTUS
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Global TeleMedia International (OTC Bulletin Board: GTMI) (www.GTMI.com) announced that BentleyTel.com, a majority owned subsidiary, has officially taken over the Internet dial-up services of the Australian Northern Territory Government. This previously announced $110 million 5-year contract in which BentleyTel.com (formerly Octa4) in a consortium with Compaq, Optus, Cable & Wireless and NEC, was to develop a high security purpose built Remote Access Client Management system for the Northern Territory Government, to enable access, tracking, logging and accounting of each client.
Managing Director of BentleyTel.com Australia Felino Molina said, "We are now in the process of entering hundreds of users into the system and are expected to migrate over 1000 users over the next few days. This gives immediate monthly revenue of over $20,000 per month. The secure VPN from the Dial-In Service to the Government LAN had been delayed for a couple of weeks waiting for the arrival of the secure token keys which is to be used by BentleyTel to enable a very secure access to the Northern Territory Government LAN through our Dial-In service. This is a 5-year contract and of course we are experiencing some minor delays in hardware delivery, however once fully implemented these services are expected to generate a minimum of $100,000 in revenue per month and is expected to increase as the services are ramped up to most Government Agencies and Departments as well as Government schools."
He continued, "Once the provision of ATM (Asynchronous Transmission Mode) connection to BentleyTel as well as the frame relay link between BentleyTel and the Government WAN is completed, we will be supplying all the Internet access to the Northern Territory Government workers from inside their LAN as well as remote Dial-In access. In addition, we will be providing secure virtual private network (VPN) Connections from remote Dial-In service to the Northern Territory Government LAN." BentleyTel.com has the first Ericsson-Tigris national ISP/VoIP platform with a POP in every state of Australia and apart from being one of the leading ISP's in Australia, upon the enabling its VoIP platform, it will be the first national company to offer full service ISP, VPN, VoIP, and virtual PABX to multi-national companies, as well as B2B and B2C and Unified integrated messaging."
Management reported that the Company has received its first profit sharing payments from its carrier agreement with WorldxChange (www.worldxchange.com). BentleyTel.com now offers 1+ and 0+ international services from the Philippines to up to 114 countries. This coupled with its pending acquisition of Data Exchange Inc. a leading software engineering and development company almost exclusively staffed by former NORTEL senior executives and software engineers, positions the Company at the leading edge of Web hosted communications solutions and soft ware development.
Headed by Ken Heffner, former Vice President and General Manager of NORTEL, Data Exchange and BentleyTel through a co-development agreement are already in preliminary testing stages of MessagePilot(TM) a unified integrated messaging system that gathers e-mail Voicemail, pager and fax, converts text to speech and can screen incoming messages and deliver all or only priority messages. Data Exchange will add two more engineers to accelerate final testing prior to a full beta test.
The MessagePilot(TM) system will be accessible in up to 100 countries and retrieved on any phone, PC or Web TV, it can be viewed at www.messagepilot.com. It has B2B and B2C applications and is available on the BentleyTel.com Smart-e-Card or as a stand-alone product.
President of GTMI Jonathon Bentley-Stevens said, "We are focused on positioning the Company at the forefront of the e-commerce revolution. It has not been without sacrifice, the management has funded in excess of $3 million dollars for recent acquisitions, reduction of debt, and product development of MessagePilot(TM), and the Smart-e-Card, and no directors have received any compensation since merging with GTMI. We are committed to rebuilding shareholder value and confidence. This aggressive growth cannot be without its problems as we are experiencing with the finalization of our audits. MCI was made up of 18 different acquisitions and mergers over 20 years. For the first time we are now seeing revenue from multiple sources, however management expects to invest another $2 million for final development of the MessagePilot(TM) and Smart-e-Card."
He continued, "There has been international excitement over our new products and we have been approached by large multi-nationals seeking strategic alliances and marketing opportunities."
"Of course we are dismayed by the temporary transition into the 'Pink Sheets' however we expect to be back on the OTCBB very shortly. GTMI is taking the Giants head on, no one gives you aggressive growth and market share, you have to take it, and its not always easy, we hope our shareholders will stand behind the company and see the big picture with its long term growth potential."
