Jerry said that AMD is a licensee of the technology, and they can implement it when their customers ask for it.

Sounds like Jerry is probably putting those RDRAM engineers he hired to good use...

But presently, the customers want the most performance for the least amount of money. And Rambus does not meet this objective (but DDR does). He said the customers have not asked for Rambus yet.

...but that they haven't actually finished the chipset yet <G>.

My guess is that the customers will suddenly start demanding it when the chipset is done <VBG>.

In the meantime, it's another great day for the 'bus! And either one looks fine so far this year:
