Rose, I had all my QCOM shares covered up to Friday for the last 6 weeks. I am thinking of doing the same later for my JDSU , NT later. They are all just riding since we are in an oversold market. CCs will only give you small protection on the down side. What do you want to achieve? Do you want income? ( write ATM CCs ) protection (write DIM CCs, buy puts , do a collar , do a spread... ). I will wait for the overbought position and cover some shares. PM me later for any other info, since if your shares are JDU, the options must come from Montreal not the CBOE. David
