One band was from England who had the honor of playing at the "Royal Albert Hall" there and recorded many successful albums, and the other was a "one album wonder" who is now more popular than they were back in 1980! (since I seem to be making enemies here, forgive me for not just giving out their names)
I also had a chance to work with the J. Geils Band in 1978/79, but blew it when I brought the manager's wife to a meeting at the United Nations a little too late for her. (I got lost big-time in New York state that day) All in all, I worked with five different rock bands, three of which were top New Jersey groups of the 1970's and 1980's. It was an extremely interesting time period for me. Did some sound work, photography (crouched down on top of some huge speakers with the music vibrating through my bones), psychiatry (rock musicians often need a shoulder to lean on), security, driving, and even played an instrument.....
