I don't see how you interpret Jerry's remarks as "AMD sees the benefits of Rambus".

He said "the customers want the most performance for the least amount of money".

The implication may be that DDR is the highest performance, and costs the least amount of money.

Agreed. The same thing with 64 bit OS. AMD will let Intel do the hard work, and then come with a more marketable product.
