Seems to be the latest rage, ask for huge increase in authorized shares. INTC and GBLX just did the same. JDN

Does anyone know why ORCL is seeking approval of increasing their authorized shares from 4 to 11 billion?

Ellison has split ORCL every time the stock price has exceeded 50. Sometimes a 3 for 2 to bring the price back to low 30s or else a 2 for 1 if the price ran up enough. Guess he likes to keep the stock price lower than most.
