TA, thanks...i know he was looking for a low late April. it seems lots of gurus are in fact. anyway, bad news being bought is undoubtedly bullish. i know Carolan is looking for the bull market to continue into December of 2001, and if that turns out to be correct it would end up as THE greatest bull market of all time (and incidentally, the biggest bubble of all time).
i do believe however that most gurus will be wrong when the turn comes. Carolan may be the exception to the rule, who really knows. i'm more of a traditional market observer, i.e., while i find the lunar cycle theory interesting, i happen to think that such old-fashioned concepts as e.g. the trend in interest rates and liquidity are more reliable guides to the market's future performance than the more esoteric theories. that said, it is quite remarkable how well Carolan's work has predicted market movements so far.

regards,
