The record date for the MRVC 2/1 split is May 11th.

The effective date when the split shares will begin trading is May 30, the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

steve, i believe it's may 11... and as for the situation with terabeam, they're both a supplier to terabeam and will offer competing products, as well... as for other upcoming events, i would imagine the interop conference would be an excellent venue for announcements.....as in new ceo for luminent (nice name, by the way... somebody's been working on marketing), new product announcements, etc... it could get interesting.
