It is also quite profitable for the longs. You know that every short adds to the demand for stocks. The short has to cover before he really loses his a-- big time, unless he discovers a way to live without it. You have heard of the short squeeze, haven't you. I've been in a few of them on the right side. It can be quite exhilirating.

I got nothing against traders per se, however these shorts with their orchestrated smear campaigns against GG are really quite amazing -not unlike 4 olds that didn't get their lollipop - really quite a lot of whining.

Instead of all that energy focusing on charts, volumes, tops, spreads, and all the other various short term and daytrading nonsense - perhaps if they simply got into focusing on the substantive technologies and probabilities of longer term outcomes of each technology, and try to figure out which companies are best positioned and so forth -they would be much better off.

GG has just touched the surface, with all sorts of companies and technologies remaining to be the dominant players in their segments.
