As you know, ADSL splits the signal, so that in fact I am online with high speed service & can still make & receive calls through the same phone line .. no dial up, just online line all the time .. I can call forward my main line to a cell or pager & use that same line for a 2nd computer through a dial up ISP .. ADSL's only restriction is that you need to be within 3 or 4 miles of the the telco switch.

It's like going from a 1200 baud modem to 56k .. a T1, now that's the ticket!

check out cable modems too...

they're a bit cheaper and a bit more reliable than DSL...where DSL may encounter connectivity issues depending on the distance out to the CO
