Investor's Business Daily, April 26, 2000 , page A10 writes, "The good news for M-systems is that embedded DiskOnChip technology is preferred for most new Net appliances over removable disks, commonly used in digital cameras. Though removable disks cost more and use more power, they do pose a competitive threat, Mansky says. But the more likely threat would be if a removable disk maker such as Sandisk Corp. enters M-Systems' niche." Earlier in the article, "M-Systems can sell its disks at $15 to $25 each....They have the smallest, most efficient product out there," said Paul Mansky, analyst at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray Inc.... DiskOnChip, which can substitute for a computer's hard disk, is the company's fastest growing product, Mansky says....M-Systems has a strategic alliance with Microsoft Corp. under which Microsoft will use only M-Systems' flash disks in its operating systems. M-Systems also is the only supplier of local storage for Microsoft's set-top box...Other customers include Panasonic, Sony Corp., NCR Corp. and 3Com Corp. M-Systems also makes a product called Fast Flash Disk. It has much higher storage capacity and is used for network servers, switches and routers."
